Godfrey Yogarajah

I am sending a quick personal note on this news to a few friends. We will sender proper prayer release on this later. The situation in Cambodia is bad.

We were there two months ago doing a training on leadership, advocacy, lobbying, UN mechanism , digital security, building resilience and the theology of persecution and suffering with the church leaders in Cambodia . It was a timely visit. The church there was quite isolated and in need of encouragement.

A few days ago we received news from our contacts there that  the streets are lined with fully armed soldiers. The supreme court had dissolved the opposition party and 118 of the opposition leaders are banned from politics for 5 years.

That Cambodia is back to full autocratic dictatorship. No dissent is tolerated.

Please uphold in prayer the young church in Cambodia. That they would be salt and light in this situation. Also for their safety and protection.
